What is the difference between a private tour and a group tour?
Group tours are regularly scheduled events (i.e. Wednesdays at 10 AM, Saturdays at 2 PM). Tickets are sold to the public and groups are made of unrelated guests.
A private tour is an exclusive event, created solely for the party that books the tour. Prices for private tours are a flat fee, as opposed to a per person ticket.
What are the advantages of taking a private tour?
A private tour is scheduled at your convenience, the guide is at your disposal, and tour elements are tailored to your preferences. Group tours must accommodate guests with diverse needs and expectations (which can impact the experience). A private tour is focused solely on creating the best possible experience for you.
A private tour can also be an excellent value. For parties of three or more guests, the amortized cost per guest may be less than general group tours.
What is included in the tour price?
Prices and inclusions vary per tour. Please see the specific tour page for a detailed list of inclusions and exclusions.
How do I book a tour?

Are credit card payments made via this site secure?

Do your tours require a lot of walking?
Generally, yes. Given New York’s problematic traffic, walking is by far the best way to experience the city. Tours are designed for exploration on foot, utilizing public transportation (subway and city buses) as required. This is an authentic and immersive way to explore NYC.
Taxis, private cars or buses can be arranged in advance upon request. NOTE: guests with mobility issues, please inform us at the time of booking so that the tour can be modified appropriately.
What if the weather is bad on my tour date?
Tours will run as scheduled, rain or shine. If the weather is unpleasant, your guide will discuss possible itinerary modifications.
In the case of hazardous conditions (i.e. blizzards, hurricanes, etc.), tours will be rescheduled, subject to availability.
Should I tip my tour guide?
Gratuities for tour guides are customary.
Tipping is certainly discretionary. A gratuity for a great tour is always appreciated.
